Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Plan
Corporate Social Responsibility
MAPFRE has been firmly committed to people and the planet for more than 90 years, helping to construct the social and business fabric of the countries where we operate. As a company, we have set our sights on the world and on global challenges to leave a positive footprint around us. Through our global activity, we strive to contribute to building a world that is more equal, just, ethical, inclusive, developed, and transparent.
Corporate Sustainability Policy
The Corporate Sustainability policy of the MAPFRE group defines the action principles in this field, as well as operating practices and relationships with its main stakeholders. The CSR policy is applicable to every MAPFRE company in every country where it operates.
MAPFRE USA Sustainability Plan
The 2024-2026 Sustainability Plan focuses on those global challenges to which we can contribute through our activity, acting in the four dimensions of sustainability equally: environmental, social, governance, and business.
Environment: We protect our planet
We care about the great natural treasure that connects us, and we know that together we can make possible the change necessary to protect it. That is why, from our part, we want to improve the management of our environmental footprint and promote the circular economy.
Social: By joining forces, we close gaps
We work to ensure that quality employment, inclusion, financial education, accessibility to insurance, and the sustainability of our value chain are drivers of transformation. We are at a moment of historic progress, in which we have taken great steps to move towards a diverse and inclusive society.
Government: We promote transparency and dialogue
We promote dialogue, from within and without, with all those who, like us, want to be part of this change. At a time of urgency such as the one we are in; climate and social challenges challenge us to collaborate in a transversal way to jointly find valuable solutions.
Business: We develop products and services with ESG criteria
We acquire demanding and resounding public commitments in social and environmental matters, with services and products aligned with them, through sustainable products, sustainable investment, and sustainable underwriting. For the world to achieve the goals set out in the 2030 Agenda, each company must address common challenges and make them their own, integrating them into products and processes. Also sensitizes its customers so that they commit and act.
